EMC Entertainment Campbellford -The Westben Arts Festival will get romantic in the lovingly restored Market Hall Theatre in Peterborough.

The Festival's dynamic founding duo Donna Bennett and her husband Brian Finley will fill the hall with multiple bouquets of romantic music during a February 12 "Lovin' Dat Westben" show.

The audience can expect a romantic afternoon of arias, songs and piano music from Handel to Hammerstein as well as one of Finley's own Canadian Preludes. Fans can make their own song requests on the Westben web site, Facebook page and Twitter feed.

"The program will have some classics, light classics, Broadway and folk songs," says Bennett, "(and) Brian will be playing one of his Canadian Preludes which he must record some day."

The Market Hall Theatre is approaching the first anniversary of its re-opening after extensive renovations. Always a wonderful venue for concerts, it is an even more polished jewel in the heart of downtown Peterborough. Music fans who have not checked it out could do no better than spending a romantic afternoon there on February 12. Showtime is 2 p.m.
